- what: This study made use of selenite only. The study aims 6 reaching a preliminary assessment of the manner in which the selenium content of barley, spring wheat and potatoes is raised when selenite fertilizers are sprayed and transmitted through the soil. This study demonstrated that the amount of selenium transmitted to potatoes is proportional to the quantity of selenium given during fertilizing.
