Flash-binary geothermal power plants are distinguished, in which the waste heat of the flash geothermal power plant is used as an activation resource for a binary plant to substantially increase energy production. The ORC activated with residual heat from a flash-binary geothermal power plant represents a very interesting option to be incorporated into existing geothermal power plants that have low-temperature residual heat available; also it is worth considering the part of waste heat recovery in the design of new geothermal power plants.
