• What: In this study PS was subjected to biodegradation tests by_(T. and (Z. Specifically six different experimental diets were compared: (i) T. fed with bran; (ii) T. fed only PS; (iii) T. fed only PS treated with H2 O2; (iv) Z. fed with bran; (v) Z. fed only PS; and_(vi) Z. fed only PS treated with H2 O2. The authors focused on the chemical-physical characterization of the material and not on the identification of microrganisms that are able to degrade polystyrene.
