HIGHLIGHTS
- What: The aim of GWASs is to determine genomic regions related to agronomic or morphological characteristics and any phenotypes that may serve as markers, genes, or QTLs for gene identification, introgressive hybridization, and marker-assisted breeding (MAB) . The primary focus of transcriptomic research is to examine gene transcripts or RNA linked to a plant`s phenotypic expression under various stress conditions by employing a range of techniques, including serial analysis of gene_expression (SAGE), DNA microarrays, and high-throughput technologies based on next-generation sequencing (NGS) for conducting digital gene_expression (DGE) and RNA sequencing (RNAseq) .
