An investigation of the impact of precipitation temperature and filter cake thickness on the physical stability of amorphous solids: a case study

HIGHLIGHTS

  • What: The aim of this study was to resolve the issue of physical instability in amorphous solid drugs which can result in unwanted crystallization affecting solubility and dissolution rates. The aim of this study was to precipitate amorphous solids of nilotinib free base by manipulating the precipitation temperature and filter cake thickness. The analysis showed a direct correlation between precipitation temperature and reduction in particle size. The study of these parameters will be the focus of the future research.
  • Who: Zunhua Li et al. from the College of Chemistry and Bioengineering, Hunan University of Science . . .
