Wideband low phase-noise signal generation using coaxial resonator in cascaded phase locked loop

HIGHLIGHTS

• What: This work proposes a novel approach that countermeasures, such as dithering and current balancing, can significantly degrade overall mitigates the impact of these spurs by strategically operating the PLLs away from these phase noise performance . The simulation results in Figure 3 visually demonstrate the influence of different in existing literature, this research proposes the utilization of a coaxial resonator-based loop filter bandwidths on the output phase noise. This research shows the feasibility of achieving wideband signal generation without the inherent complexity of DDS and dedicated DSP blocks, while preserving functional versatility.
