• What: The authors compare the delays caused by an ad hoc FCFS operation with those of the optimization model. The optimization model is a modification of the model presented in that it explicitly enforces runway capacity constraints in a mixedinteger linear programming formulation, which was not clear and rather complicated in the original model. The authors restrict it by assigning a fixed value to δ so that it would not interfere with the first objective, based on various initial runs of the model.
