- what: The present in_vitro study aims to evaluate the effect of CaEP on prostate cancer model. The research shows that calcium, to strengthen the cytotoxic effect of the therapy, should be administrated before PEFs delivery. The authors have shown that an increased intracellular concentration of calcium enhances the EP-induced actin disruption after higher voltage PEFs.
