- what: The authors report a methodology that resulted in reliable emergence of ceratopogonid midges for several months in a laboratory environment, providing sufficient adults for bioassays. Cacao pod could not be obtained in the UK, but the three main species in this experiment have been previously reported from a variety of decomposing vegetable material including leaf litter . . .
