HIGHLIGHTS
- What: The aim of this paper is to provide a broad overview of more than forty-five years of literature on POS in PS by using a bibliometric literature review. The analysis and results from this study can be used for various purposes. High-quality research is typically indexed in reputable databases, but this approach has limitations. Research on the POS in PSs started from 1978 onwards, this study has taken 1st January 1978 to 31st December 2023 as the tenure for the selection of the articles.
