HIGHLIGHTS
- What: (FTR) is the most common although experimental models to effectively study it are scarce; therefore this study aimed to establish a robust experimental swine model. The authors aimed to established a novel swine FTR model using the combination of several modeling method including RA and left atrium (LA) ablation, atrial septostomy, and right heart overload. By utilizing this model, the authors aimed to gain a deeper understanding of the underlying mechanisms involved in FTR and identify potential therapeutic targets for treating this condition. This study has some limitations that must be acknowledged.
