Zinc as a predictor of sepsis in critically ill patients

  • What: The authors aimed to evaluate serum zinc as a predictor of sepsis. The authors found that baseline data including sex-different comorbidities and different diagnoses showed no significant differences between those who developed sepsis and those who did not develop sepsis. Unfortunately, this study had some limitations including a low number of patients, and being conducted in a single center.
