- What: This study investigated the influence of motivation in predicting lecturers` retention in Colleges of Education in Bauchi State Nigeria. Even when people have clear work objectives, the right skills, and a supportive work environment, they would not get the job done without sufficient motivation to achieve those work objectives. The study was grounded and anchored on Maslow`s Hierarchy of Needs Theory that explains motivation in organizations.
