Solvothermally grown oriented wo3 nanoflakes for the photocatalytic degradation of pharmaceuticals in a flow reactor

HIGHLIGHTS

  • What: The authors report here a new photoactive system operating under visible light capable of degrading EE2 OZ and DRO in water. Evaluating the photoelectrochemical response of WO3 /st will allow the authors to judge the ability of these WO3 films to achieve efficient electron/hole separation, which is the primary goal and crucial for any solar energy conversion device, irrespective of its intended use in either solar fuel generation or environmental remediation processes. This work has been focused on the application of oriented WO3 nanostructures with high photoelectrochemical activity to water remediation, exploiting advanced photocatalytic oxidation . . .
