- What: This study explores the perceptions of health-related quality of life of grandparents caring for their grandchildren. Most of the studies carried out in Spain have focused on analysing physical, economic and/or emotional variables and their influence on the health of grandparents . As with leisure time, participants in the study reported that they had to sacrifice their rest time to care for their grandchildren.
