HIGHLIGHTS
- What: This study shows for the first time the involvement of activating transcription factor 6 (ATF6) in the effects of Octreotide (OCT) in the inflamed endothelium. This study reveals that ATF6 activation enhances the barrier-enhancing effects of OCT, presenting a promising approach for mitigating endothelial dysfunction in lung inflammatory diseases. BPAEC was purchased from Genlantis (San Diego, CA, USA) and was used to assess the goals of the present study.
