• What: This study investigated the association of symptom severity with the diagnosis of delirium and short-term survival. This study showed that measuring symptom intensity among patients with advanced cancer in the ED setting is feasible and provides valuable information early during hospitalization, which may guide further interventions, including consultation with the palliative care service.
