- What: The aim of this study was to explore Allied Health Professions (AHP) support worker perceptions of feeling valued and to understand what factors contribute to this feeling of "value". The authors aimed to recruit a minimum of 20 participants providing sufficient information power to address the study aims . It was evident that pay was rarely the main motivation for a career as a support worker. The authors propose that feeling valued and being motivated are intrinsically linked and constitute a fundamental human need.
