HIGHLIGHTS
- What: The aim of this study was to demonstrate the protective effect and possible mechanisms of fucoidan in D-galactose (D-gal)-induced cognitive dysfunction. In this study, the mean fluorescence intensity of images was calculated by Image J software (version 1.8.0). The authors studied the beneficial effects of fucoidan on mitochondrial biogenesis in D-gal-exposed rats. This study showed that the APN-AMPK-SIRT1 signaling pathway is related to the Dgal-induced damage modulus mechanism.
