  • What: Based on the proactive motivational model and empowerment theory the authors propose the existence of a reverse empowerment process where empowerment flows from patients to physicians. Rather than viewing patients as passive participants in physician-patient interactions, this study examines the active, empowering role that patients can assume. The central research question the authors seek to address is: What influence does patient behavior have on the proactivity of physicians` online knowledge sharing on digital platforms?
