HIGHLIGHTS
- What: The aim of this study is to shed light on the psychological effects that go unresearched on those who spread false information about LGBTQ+ populations online. Through an analysis of this overlooked aspect, this research seeks to contribute to a multidisciplinary strategy to counteract digital prejudice and to the creation of more comprehensive intervention solutions. The study also highlights the need for expanding research on examining motivational factors on hate-speech perpetrators to develop more effective interventions for mitigating online hate.
