HIGHLIGHTS
- What: In this study the effects of dynamic response are assessed through numerical simulations considering soil-structure interaction on a 3D moment-resisting steel frame with a viscous fluid-type energy dissipation system. Figure 1 provides a summary of research processes used to achieve the objectives of this study. The results of this study show that using a damper has an inverse effect on the acceleration and displacement response.
