• What: The aim of this study is to examine the character of Dolores Haze, nicknamed Lolita, as a tragic figure whose development and behavior are profoundly influenced by the multiple traumas she experiences. This study has examined the character of Dolores Haze, the tragic heart of Vladimir Nabokov`s novel Lolita, through the lens of trauma theory and close textual analysis.
