Larval dispersal predictions are highly sensitive to hydrodynamic modelling choices

  • What: The authors demonstrate that larval dispersal estimates at management scales are strongly affected by these choices. Using these simulations, the authors compare the predicted patterns of larval dispersal, and consider how the divergence between the predictions will affect management decisions. Efforts were made to keep the biological components of the models as similar as possible, to focus attention on the impacts of the different hydrodynamic models. The authors investigate four that are widely used in ecological network analysis.
