HIGHLIGHTS
- What: To get a better insight into the behavior of solid fluxes, this work aimed to combine industrial melt treatment experiments with characterization techniques that can provide information about the phase composition and thermal stability of different fluxes. The aim of oxidizing_agents is to locally increase the temperature by exothermic_reactions to facilitate the coalescence and release of metal droplets trapped in the dross. The HPDC plant where the experiments were conducted introduced flux B to their production process.
