- What: As bacterial presence activated macrophages in this study even in very low abundance, the effect on the macrophageregulated trophoblast functions was assessed. As it is known that an infection with F. nucleatum is a serious threat to the pregnancy, this study focused on a mild bacterial stimulation as expected by the low abundant URTM.
