HIGHLIGHTS

• What: Objective: By examining the variations in post volume trajectories among users on the r/SuicideWatch subreddit during the COVID-19 pandemic this study aims to investigate the heterogeneous patterns of change in suicide risk to help identify social media users at high risk of suicide. As publicly available data were utilized, this study fell outside the purview of ethical review by the City University of Hong Kong Research Committee, for which an exemption was obtained.
