HIGHLIGHTS
- What: The research undertaken indicated a significant intensification in metallurgical production processes during the development of the El Argar society with respect to the Copper Age period (3100 - 2250 cal BC), focusing primarily on the production of ornaments and weapons (Montero 1993; 1994). Prior to the study , elemental composition analyses were carried out on several metallic objects from Laderas del Castillo (Junghans et_al 1960, 1968, 1974; Simón 1998). The analytical mode ‘General Metals` optimised for the analysis of archaeological metals and a collimate beam of 3 mm were used with an acquisition time of 60s.
