- What: Eventually for the limiting problem the authors show existence of a minimizer and equipartition of the energy for each frequency. In that respect, the goal of this paper is to overcome this shortcoming by identifying E0 as h 0 combined with a compactness result. While equipartition of the energy had been observed in several problems on energy-driven pattern formation with competing energetic parts, here the authors show much stronger statement: it actually holds for every frequency separately. As a first implication of this fact, the authors show that any minimizer of F∞ will not possess . . .
