Comparative analysis of epigallocatechin-3-gallate and tnf-alpha inhibitors in mitigating cisplatin-induced pancreatic damage through oxidative stress and apoptosis pathways

HIGHLIGHTS

  • What: The authors aimed to investigate the effect of epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) and_(INF) administration on pancreatic endocrine cells in rats treated with systemic (CDDP). The aim of this study is to assess and compare the efficacy of EGCG and TNF-alpha inhibitors in mitigating pancreatic injury induced by cisplatin. The authors seek to comprehend the mechanisms that drive these processes and uncover novel therapeutic approaches. This study has shown that cisplatin causes damage to pancreatic tissues and pancreatic islets of Langerhans cells by increasing oxidative stress and inducing apoptosis.
