Anonymously completing the paper questionnaire and returning it in https://preprints.jmir.org/preprint/47465 Tacchini-Jacquier et al the prepaid envelope provided was considered a proxy for participants` informed consent. The study design failed to give any precise estimates of symptom persistence, and it relied on respondent recall four months after the initial illness.
