- What: As psychological studies of stereotypes relied mostly on ad-hoc rating scales, the authors aimed to contribute toward a more systematic mapping of stereotype contents. The authors aimed to achieve this through a free-response format that allows mapping the domains of traits or characteristics related to being vegetarian/vegan. The authors explored the contents of stereotypes about vegetarians and vegans in a meat-eating culture. The analysis showed that these inconsistencies can partly be explained by the differences stemming from different observer groups.
