  • What: The authors report the experimental observation of a stable generation regime in a soliton fiber laser, characterized by a distinct flat-topped optical spectrum. This work shows that considerable information about the nature of forces acting on solitons can be obtained from the shape of the laser`s optical spectrum. The control parameters of the model are the orientations of the PC and polarizer: θ, ϕ and phase difference introduced by the PC: ∆ϕ.
