HIGHLIGHTS
- What: The study was approved by the Regional Ethics Committee Linköping and conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki. This study poses considerable strengths in the study of LV remodeling and liver disease, such as the use of magnetic_resonance techniques for the assessment of both liver and heart, as well as the extensive number of analyzed cardiovascular biomarkers. As no liver biopsies were performed on the participants in this study, the authors are unable to determine histopathological inflammation in the liver.
