  • What: The authors aimed to specifically answer the question whether infants undergoing elective laparoscopy are at risk of mortality during and in the first week after surgery, and of critical events (including resuscitation, circulatory, respiratory, neurotoxic, other) during and within the first 24 hours after the surgery. By doing so, the authors aimed to offer evidence based arguments on the question whether an elective laparoscopic OTC in infants younger than 12 months would be safe.
