- What: In view of the application of carbopol in glucose-sensitive microneedles, in this study, the authors first synthesized a novel carbopol derivate containing glucose-responsive PBA moiety and made into relevant hydrogels with optimizing the ratio of the added raw materials. pKa of the gained polymer and swelling properties of the corresponding hydrogels in response to changes of glucose concentration and solution pH value were respectively determined.
