Effect of trabecular architectures on the mechanical response in osteoporotic and healthy human bone

  • What: This work aims at shedding light on the correlations between the mesoscale features, i.e. morphometric parameter and the mechanical response consequent to the architectural arrangement of trabeculae which is strongly affected by physio pathological state of bone. Though aforementioned limit, this work aims to propose a preliminary approach useful to compare bone morphometric features for the improvement in the early diagnosis of osteoporosis and for the evaluation of mutual relationships among more bone parameters which are often underestimated.
