• what: The authors aimed to characterize the role of cGAS, STING, and PYHINs in human lung epithelial_cell lines and their potential contribution to DNA sensing. Both A549 and NuLi-1 cells expressed PYHIN1, and here the authors show for the first time a role for PYHIN1 not in DNA sensing, but in induction of proinflammatory cytokines (TNFu2423 and IL-6).
