Activated TAFI inhibits the activation of Glu-plasminogen but does not prolong the lysis of clots formed in the presence of Lys-plasminogen. This suggests that TAFI accounts for the antifibrinolytic effect that accompanies prothrombin activation and that activated protein C appears . . .
