• who: Dongsheng Cai from the (UNIVERSITY) have published the paper: Two New Substrates in Insulin Signaling, IRS5/DOK4 and IRS6/DOK5*, in the Journal: (JOURNAL)
• how: Because IRS5/DOK4 and IRS6/DOK5 have no apparent role in PI 3-kinase activation (data not shown) the authors investigated the possibility of their inhibiting or activating MAPK predicting that if enhanced RasGAP activity predominated then MAPK activity would decrease whereas if Crk/guanine nucleotide exchange factor or Src-like activity predominated then MAPK activity might increase.
