- who: Aida Lydia from the Department of Internal Medicine, Universitas Indonesia/DrCipto have published the paper: The effects of synbiotics on indoxyl sulphate level, constipation, and quality of life associated with constipation in chronic haemodialysis patients: a randomized controlled trial, in the Journal: (JOURNAL)
- what: To evaluate caloric intake and carbohydrates, protein, fat, and fibres consumed by the patient throughout the study, a programme (nutriSurvey) was used. The authors found that the administration of synbiotics capsules improved complaints related to constipation symptoms patterns, as shown in the improved score on the PAC-SYM questionnaire.
