- who: Carol R. Reinero from the Texas AandM University, United States have published the paper: Temporal changes of the respiratory microbiota as cats transition from health to experimental acute and chronic allergic asthma, in the Journal: (JOURNAL)
- future: In patients with allergic asthma it sets the stage for future studies to determine if the microbiota can be modulated to restore immunologic tolerance and attenuate disease. Future studies could include characterization of these microbial populations in a larger population of cats with spontaneous asthma as they would presumptively be more representative of human allergic asthma.
