Monopole charge density wave states in weyl semimetals

HIGHLIGHTS

  • who: Eric Bobrow from the DepartmentHopkins University, Baltimore, Maryland, USA have published the research: Monopole charge density wave states in Weyl semimetals, in the Journal: (JOURNAL) of 14/01/2019
  • how: In this model the superconductivity arising from zero-momentum pairing occurs between Fermi surfaces with opposite Chern_numbers and is thus an example of the recently proposed monopole superconductivity .
  • future: Analogous to the coexistence of the CDW and superconductivity seen in the transitionmetal dichalcogenide NbSe2 competition between monopole harmonic orders is possible which will be studied in future work.
