In the last ten years, the structural, magnetic, and magnetocaloric properties of off-stoichiometric Ni-Mn-X based Heusler alloys (X=Sn, In, Sb) in the form of ribbons have been extensively investigated. In fact, by changing the synthesis parameters, the phase transition temperatures and magnetic properties of melt-spun ribbons may change considerably as compared to their bulk counterparts . . .
