HIGHLIGHTS
- who: Hajra Rajkumar et al. from the LPC E, CNRS, Orlu00e9ans, France Physikalisches Institut, University of Bern, Sidlerstrasse, Bern, Switzerland have published the paper: Ionospheric total electron content of comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko, in the Journal: (JOURNAL)
- what: The aim of this work is to study the evolution of a cometary ionosphere with the heliocentric distance and life cycle of a comet. This is supported by this work showing lower ionizing solar fluxes incident on the comet ionosphere after perihelion compared to the pre-perihelion fluxes (Fig 6), confirming earlier results (Heritier et_al 2018).
