SUMMARY
Considering the high prevalence of perceived overweight or obese and weight misperception, and the huge challenge of suicide in children and adolescents, understanding the relationships of weight perceptions with these nonfatal suicidal behaviors is helpful in the development of more early public health interventions on suicide prevention. According to the literature review, the authors proposed the hypothesis that weight perceptions were related to suicidality, and this study was intended to explore the possible associations of self-perceived weight status and weight misperception with suicidal behaviors, including suicidal ideation, plans and attempts, in Chinese adolescents . . .
