SUMMARY

    Cancer disease is one of the most common chronic diseases (Crocetti et_al, 2006; Jemal et_al, 2006) and, with about 9.6 million deaths per year (Ferlay et_al, 2019; Teo et_al, 2019), represents one of the major causes of death worldwide (WHO, 2014). Accordingly, studies show that 23.4% of cancer patients report anxiety symptoms which worsen when the cancer symptoms appear, during examinations, and at diagnosis (Stark and House, 2000; Ng et_al, 2017; Naser et_al, 2021). Still, the presence of depressive symptoms might differ according to the cancer type, how these symptoms are evaluated . . .
