The impact of covid-19 pandemic on hospices: a systematic integrated review and synthesis of recommendations for policy and practice [version 1; peer review: awaiting peer review]

SUMMARY

    The people who attend and use hospice services are likely to have conditions that make them some of the most at risk from a Covid-19 infection leading to death (Treskova-Schwarzbach et_al, 2021), as well as it severely affecting the quality of their life. In total, 12 outputs were included. Three further articles were found via citation searching (Bayly et_al, 2022; Dunleavy et_al, 2021; Selman et_al, 2020). There were no recommendations that specifically addressed the provision of ‘hospice at home`, although several discussed elsewhere (such as those on ACP e_g Rs 22-30 . . .
