    Population aging continues to increase rapidly worldwide and is accompanied by a concomitant increase in associated conditions, such as dementia, which has been particularly evident in Japan. Nursing home residents with dementia have a 50% risk of experiencing at least one episode of respiratory disease, such as pneumonia or bronchitis, and an 85.8% chance of eating-related behavioral problems.
