SUMMARY
Epstein Barr virus-driven lymphomas (EBVL) account for nearly 10% of cancer diagnoses in sub-Saharan Africa. 90% of patients with infection-related lymphomas can be cured provided they are diagnosed early and that the precise lymphoma subtype is identified. Research studies mostly using international haematopathology review have demonstrated that the most common aggressive childhood lymphomas are infectionrelated: endemic Burkitt lymphoma (BL, EBV), Hodgkin`s lymphoma (HL; EBV, HIV), acute lymphoblastic lymphoma (LBL), and diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL; HIV, EBV ).
